About
In August 2024, Hidehiko established Consulting HumanCentric Ltd., which provides businesses with advisory services in sustainability.
Prior to that, he joined KPMG Azsa Sustainability Ltd. in December 2014. Before joining KPMG, he worked for Fujitsu Limited, a global electronics company, at its headquarters in Japan and its subsidiaries in Australia (Sydney, 5 years) and in the USA (Silicon Valley, 3 years).
At KPMG, he was in charge of providing assistance and other related advisory services to suppliers of members of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), formerly called Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), who wish to comply with the RBA requirements, such as answering the questionnaire and preparing for the third-party audit. Also, he provided companies in such industries as electronic, chemical, extractives, retail, wholesale, transportation, and automotive with advisory services to build a scheme to monitor and manage CSR risks/adverse human rights impacts in their supply chain using advanced CSR standards such as the RBA Validated Assessment Process and the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) developed by the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex). In addition, he led companies’ projects in multiple industries to establish the global corporate human rights policy, the human rights due diligence scheme, and the grievance mechanisms based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. At Fujitsu, he led such projects as designing and implementing a scheme for CSR performance survey of its Japanese domestic and foreign group companies, analyzing and providing feedback of the survey results, and adopting EICC standards as its base for CSR and deliberating joining EICC.
